Project Spotlight
When a long, visible crack developed across a travertine floor in an Orlando home, the homeowner needed professional travertine crack repair, not a full floor replacement. Our team performed targeted stone floor restoration, stabilizing the crack with color-matched epoxy and blending the repair seamlessly into the surrounding travertine floor. This travertine floor repair preserved the original surface and restored both appearance and structural integrity.

Before
Visible crack running across the travertine floor surface in an Orlando residence.

After
The same travertine floor following professional crack repair, seamlessly restored.
The crack had developed over time, likely caused by minor foundation settling, a common issue in Central Florida homes. Left untreated, it would have continued to widen, allowing moisture intrusion and risking further damage to the surrounding tiles. The homeowner had been quoted for full tile replacement by another contractor, but wanted to explore professional stone restoration services as a less invasive and more cost-effective alternative.
Evaluate crack depth, substrate condition, and stone type
Secure and reinforce the affected area to prevent further movement
Fill with color-matched epoxy in careful, layered applications
Level and refine the repair to match surrounding stone
Apply protective sealant to guard against moisture and staining
Our team began with a thorough assessment of the crack depth and substrate condition. Using professional-grade epoxy color-matched to the travertine's natural tones, we filled and stabilized the crack in careful layers. Once cured, the repair area was leveled, then refined through our stone polishing process to blend the filled area with the surrounding stone. The result is a repair that's virtually undetectable to the eye and structurally sound. As a final step, we applied protective sealing across the restored area to guard against future moisture penetration and staining.
The travertine floor was fully restored. No tile replacement was needed. The crack is now invisible under normal viewing conditions, and the structural integrity of the floor has been reinforced. In many cases, repairing damaged travertine is significantly more cost-effective than replacing the entire floor. This project saved the homeowner thousands of dollars while preserving the original stone character of the home.
